Linen Stitch Sling – scroll to bottom for details
Linen Stitch Sling Pattern K-28
This reversible knitted bag has one side with a woven look, and the other side with a pebbly texture. Easy short rows with no fussy wrap-and-turn. Choose from two different straps. Fun for intermediate knitters. Medium (Large) size requires 500 (550) yds [458, 503m] worsted weight yarn. Yardage given is approximate. Linen stitch uses large needles with small yarn to make a very firm fabric (strange but true). No lining needed! Bags shown above measure 12" to 14" across. Shown in medium size using ColorDreams, cotton worsted yarn, and US #9 or 10 (5.5-6 mm) needles. How is the Linen Stitch Sling different from the Sunburst Sling?
• Very firm, no stretch at all
• Needs no lining
• Looks like it was woven
• Bag is completely symmetrical
• Two different sections are alternated
The similarity is shape - the structure, texture, and technique are all different.
